BEIJING, April 7 (Xinhua) -- At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, President of the Federated States of Micronesia Wesley W. Simina is paying a state visit to China from April 5 to 12. Simina, 63, has a Juris Doctor degree and served as Governor of Chuuk State. In 2011, he was elected Senator At-Large for Chuuk State. In 2015, he was elected Speaker of the Congress of the Federated States of Micronesia and was re-elected three times: in 2017, 2019 and 2021. In May 2023, Simina was elected the 10th President of the Federated States of Micronesia. He is married to Ancelly Simina, and they have eight children. ■ (责任编辑：) |
