Thousands of cell phone users reported a service outage on Wednesday morning, and the issue appears to be affecting a wide array of providers. According to the tracker downdetector.com, Verizon and other providers such as T-Mobile, AT&T, Fios by Verizon and US Cellular had a sudden spike in reported outages starting around 11 a.m. The Verizon outage has by far been the largest, with a peak of around 180,441 reports, but those have slowly started to decline again. Other service providers have had a few thousand reports each.
